1959 Land Rover 109 Update……..The Series 2 Rube Goldberg Throttle Linkage!

More small parts restoration……..above is part of the Series 2 throttle linkage…….this stuff takes a ridiculous amount of time  to disassemble, clean, polish, coat, catalog…….

More linkage……..

Yup………more………hand throttle

This is about 99% of the accelerator and hand throttle linkage……..Mr Goldberg would be proud. Some parts will get plated, others painted, all of the ball ends and bushings have already been polished.

The upper end of the parking brake mechanism…..nearly the same amount of parts as the throttle, just not as many variables.

This got the same treatment……….blasted, polished, etc.

The intake and exhaust manifolds back from ceramic coating at Jet-Hot.

Shiny, and will stay that way………..no instantly rusty/crusty exhaust manifold.

Brake and clutch pedal boxes……same drill.

Drive shaft parts back from paint……..all new spiders, dust caps, and boots ready to install………and don’t scratch anything!

Fresh paint!

Everything together and brand new!! Off to storage.

Spare room storage…….finished parts, parts waiting to go to paint or plating, there’s a new NOS steering relay in one of those boxes, NOS brake and clutch masters, and that’s the cab glass in the green bubble wrap.
