200TDi Radiator Mount

One of the common problems with a 200TDi going into a Series truck is maintaining the inboard headlights. The solution here is to free up some space in order to move the radiator behind the front cross member (back toward the engine). This truck is being built on a military frame so it has the built in mounts on the front cross member for an oil cooler. The mounts in the photo above are built off the oil cooler mounts. For added support nutserts are installed on the backside of the cross member.

A Spal electric fan mounted to the radiator frame replaces the factory viscous fan. A temperature activated switch will be tapped into the thermostat housing. The radiator is offset to the right to allow for intercooler plumbing.
